93 Brand Jiu Jitsu Choking Hazard

Jiu Jitsu is our drug and we are all junkies. “Beware not to exceed dosage, can cause mild to severe addiction.”

93 Brand Jiu Jitsu Rashguard93 Brand Jiu Jitsu has done it again with this. Their products have already convinced me, any equipment that I have ever purchased from them has been stellar. The quality and creativity that goes into every piece is what makes their equipment stand out in the continuous one off companies trying to make money pedaling to the Jiu Jitsu community.  Their design collaborations with artists in the Jiu Jitsu community like Gawakoto and Meerkatsu make each piece extremely unique and desirable.

Recently they released 93 Brand Choking Hazard Rashguard, 93 Brand Jiu Jitsu and Meerkatsu collaborated before with their popular Jiu Jitsu “Pill” shirt, and the used same design concept with a few distinctive additions to make an exceptional rashguard. Instantly the bright orange exclamation point catches the eye. Once drawn in, it leads you to the rear design that covers Jiu Jitsu in a medical satire description. When I first walked into class my professor noticed it through my Gi and asked to look it over, he wants one now.

Performance

The rashguard performed marvelously and will continue to be a favorite of mine to use. A few aspects that were instantly noticeable were the panel construction and the flatlock seems. Many don’t think about the construction of a piece of equipment, but before I tried this 93 Brand Choking Hazard, I didn’t realize that many of my other rashguards had their stitching under the armpit. While practicing these begin to rise up and irritate under the arm, 93 Brand rashguard does not.

93 Brand Panel Construction

93 Brand Panel Construction

The Choking Hazard is the most comfortable rashguard I have ever used because of that panel construction. Many first uses lead to bothersome effects as you break them in, but not this one. Instantly had a broken in feeling and I used it comfortably for 3 hours of practice. Due to the flatlock seems this will be very durable and be able to handle many hours of training and “accidental” rashguard grabs. Another design aspect that was much appreciated was the sublimated collar label. Just another addition that makes this rashguard stands alone in comfort. The greatest aspect of this rashguard is also its only negative. With the bright orange and incomparable design this rashguard would not be allowed in IBJJF No-Gi competitions (they are very strict on this), along with others that required belt rank rashguards. But this is a minimal sacrifice to have this outstanding product.

Conclusion

93 Brand Jiu Jitsu and Meerkatsu have done it again with this creation. Jiu Jitsu Scholar highly recommends this to anyone looking for high level comfort and performance, along with catching a few eyes. The design is eye-catching and intriguing but it’s the performance is what is memorable about this rashguard.
